On December 21st, 2015 Werner Wirsing and Ruban Harikantha founded the firm Special Glass Associates GmbH & Co. KG – short form SGA – designated for the distribution and marketing of special glass.

Both of these entrepreneurs share a connection in their substantial experience within the special glass field and fireplace industry, as well as in their aspiration to establish and maintain a standard of excellence in their business ventures.

Werner Wirsing, who has worked for the Hecker Enterprises Group in Dortmund for more than 50 years and has chaired it for the past 40 years, certainly understands the significance of a well-functioning sales and distribution unit as much as his counterpart Ruban Harikantha, who has held leadership positions for the past 18 years in the realm of strategic marketing and distribution.

The initial operations of SGA began in 2016, when the distribution of Hecker Glaskeramik GmbH & Co. KG was outsourced to SGA. As a member of the Hecker Glass Group, SGA is in the position to utilize time proven structures and processes in serving their clients, as well as being able to bridge the gap of needs between the glass ceramic fabricator Hecker and its customers by generating synergies and by using a win-win strategy to positively balance the interests of both sides.

In this way SGA is able to combine the old with the new: renowned, top quality products and technological progress from the Hecker tradition, inspired product staging as well as a well-rounded understanding pertaining to the needs and demands of international customers and the stages of the value-added chain.
